<\/strong>About the Tour:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This guided walking tour starts in the heart of historic Brighton, at the entrance to the city Museum.<\/p>\n

From there, our walk will take us on a journey through Brighton\u2019s history including details of events and places where the Jewish community has been a central part of life in the city since the 18th century.<\/p>\n

We will wind our way through the streets and ‘twittens’ of the Old Town, noting Blue Plaques to some of its former Jewish residents and hearing their stories, discovering near-forgotten sites of Jewish shops and schools in the heart of Brighton, and also visiting the location of its early synagogues. This one of a kind tour is not to be missed!<\/p>\n

Marc Gardiner is an enthusiastic tour guide with a passion for the history and geography of the places that he visits. Originally a qualified accountant and now a part-time university lecturer, Marc has a Master\u2019s degree in Modern Jewish History and is also an official City of London tour guide.<\/strong> <\/strong>He lives with his family in both London and Brighton.<\/p>\n
